Who Are You?

that you touch my soul with the mere thought
of your being?
Who are you
that you can strum the lute of my body
and create a song?
Who are you
that you can fill the ocean of my heart
and always quench my thirst?
Who are you
that you can skip into my world
and lighten my load?
Who are you
that becomes my muse
but remains my lover?
Who are you
that continues as a friend and advisor
but still remains detached?
Who are you
that drives me insane with desire
yet never acknowledges your own?
Who are you
that gives me total honesty
and gets it in return?
Who are you
that straightens my path of respect
with a curl of laughter?
Who are you
that gives me all that I want and need
and shows me too?
Who are you
that revels in my humor and laughter
and lets me remain a fool?
Who are you
that views the world we live in
a world for me & you?
