My Thoughts

Alone at night in my thoughts
I pass over the day's journeying
to land at the threshold
of my desire.
My rainment is my love and honor;
my goal is your truth...
yet, who am I to judge you?
Or even you to judge me?
I know that I am nothing like your past -
my difference is in the mirror of your vision...
and you are unlike my past -
your difference is in the torrents of my passion.
Ah, but I tread lightly and gingerly about you
when I want to rush with passion and
no restraint - it's the same way I love...
with all of me...yet, my self-control is evident
with you... And I burn with
flame's increasing intensity
when you are near - but it is steady,
not scorching - it's peak at climax,
but only to return to the steady burn.
I believed that it was lust
that drove me to you, but now,
with clarity see...
the gifts given were
the future,
reborn - in LOVE.
