Dream Painting

Within my nocturnal journeyings
I paint your essence whole
woven pearl'd peaks of joy
upon the canvas of my soul.
Each flow of carmine dark
burgundy enveloping cream
ripples through the brush'd stroke
divining creation's theme.
Ah! To be that which adorns you
from my palette here
to glow and bask within love's light -
your beauty brings such tears.
Discovery of passion within these hues
draws you closer still....
and then I am startled - awakened harsh
by that damned alarm's f @#* ing drill!
Author's Notes: 7/27/04 - There are times when I just want to smash that damned alarm clock!!!!
