Flight Circle

The hawk cries out to me
In the sky wild and free
Soaring higher above the plain
Calling me to do the same
Gathering wings I try to fly
Encouraged from hawk, in the sky
Up I go to soar high
With guiding wing, from hawk above.
Looking down, So I may see
The wisdom that is revealed to me
Gaining knowledge, as we soar around
Hawk guides me to sacred ground.
Gently now, as we circle round
Preparing; to land in sacred ground
Hawk is showing me the way
Teaching me, how to play.
Gathering knowledge and wisdom too
Hawk has shown me what to do
Circle round once more
Will set it firmly, and open the door
Hawks strength will carry me through
As I prepare what I must do.
Author's Notes: I wrote this the day before one of my rituals, I was sitting outside and 4 hawks circled above me.
