I didn’t think it would hurt this bad
Never knew I’d be so sad
I did know that it would ache
But I did not think my heart would break
You used to say you loved me
When you looked into my eyes
I believed we were meant to be
But it was all a bunch of lies
I wish for the days that used to be
Us on the beach, just you and me
Though I finally did come to see
That you never really did love me
Now I look back and realize
How you had me so mesmerized
I was young and naďve
I just could not leave
I used to be so confident
Never ashamed of who I was
Now you’ve caused this detriment
Nothing could hurt as this does
But no more, I’ve had enough
You hurt me, so now I have to be tough
Go away or I might attack…
Go away and please never come back
Author's Notes: This is a piece i wrote after my boyfriend and i broke up. I don't think the poem is acceptionally great but it definately was an outlet for my pain. It seems kind of of juvenile but sometimes things need to be stated blutly in order to get your point across... thanks for reading my poem- blessed be
