A Night Like No Other

She walks among the dead now,
She doesn't breath our air.
Her skin is frozen to the touch,
And shines with translucent glare.
The deep red hair now glistens,
With the fire of the Night.
The dark green eyes will show,
Her predator's delight.
She stands un-moving in the rain,
Waiting for the prey.
The fear and dread surrounding her,
Would scare anyone away.
She sees the victim moving
in a fast sort of pace.
Perhaps he's in a hurry,
to get out of such a place.
The water is pouring down,
The clothing now tight as skin.
She gives him one safe moment,
Before she starts to move in.
He doesn't see her coming,
She's as silent as a cat.
She jams his body to a tree,
And pounces on that rat.
His heart skips through beats,
As he sees the murder in her eyes.
He tries to reach for unheard words,
And grasp for his dirty lies.
Grabbing by the collar,
She whispers in his ear,
"Now who is the mouse?
Now who has the fear?"
She brushes her lips past his ear,
To his open throat.
Dipping her teeth into his skin
And letting blood create a mote.
His life is slowly ending,
As she drinks to her content.
The debt now paid with blood for blood,
The vampire gave what the man had sent.
She wouldn't have him now,
Or when she was alive.
So he had hired a thug
And made sure she wouldn't survive.
What he had not counted on
Was her death to be new life.
And for her to seek revenge,
With her tooth edged Knife.
Author's Notes: This poem represents my interest in the fantasy world, the wrld of vampires, werewolfs and such. And I created this poem to be a story about a man who was obsessed with this one woman who would not have him, and well, you know the rest.
