The Burning Song

You say I've sinned beyond compare
That your god has eyes every where
But I know I bear no crime
I am innocent this time
You can hang me, you can burn me, shroud my body all in white
But you will never break me, oh goddess hold me tight
You may say it is my end
but I'll never make amends
Belladonna let me slip
just away from life's grip
You can hang me, you can burn me, shroud my body all in white
But you will never break me, Like a bird I'll take flight
Oh you will never harm me, I will never feel the flame
Bless the Lady, Bless the Lord
let us give instead of hoard
This has been my burning song
If you hear it sing along
Goddess, Goddess, Goddess, Goddess hear our cry this night.
Author's Notes: A song about the burning times, this song came to my in a dream, it mixed a spell I'd been writing, with a story of mine, added music and it kind of turned out like this.
