The Wind's Daughter

I am not what I appear to be
Nor, what I appear not to be
I am a faceless child
Yet, everyone has seen me
Unknowing are they what this really means…
Even I do not truly know
I grow stronger within dreams, or perhaps just in thought…
Created was I by nothing like you
Instead, I am the image of the wind
I am the wind’s daughter
Passion is what sparkles in my invisible eyes
And love that fills my invisible heart
But you see, I have no heart
I have no eyes
I am seen, yet unseen
Preparation is the key to the soul
But being that I am the wind’s daughter, I have no soul
Many questions have I asked myself
And many questions have I found unanswered
I am eternal, yet I do not live
Therefor, what am I?
Yet another question
I am a faceless child
I am the wind
Nothing is the sound of the wind
And here I am
Nothing
Not yet
Not for a while
Because for now, I am only the wind’s daughter…
Author's Notes: This poem means so much more to me now that I am following the Wiccan path... It was almost as if I was taken over by my muse and the words just poured out of me without any work from me. But in reading it again, it is about the knowledge yet unknown to the seeker. The life yet unlived, but... soon.
