The Bloom

Age Group: Adult
Looking in the mirror,
Somewhat satisfied.
Nothing big or flashy,
Not really cathing the eye.
Getting interesting conversations,
With people I just met.
Smiling at the beauty,
The Goddess has now beset.
They must have seen the beauty,
I've been hiding all inside.
For my appearence is not catching,
To anyone's dark eye.
I smile at my laughter,
That has been brought about.
For I thought the Goddess's good grace,
Was all but running out.
She shows me I am gracious,
And still wanted here.
That Her eye is stil watching,
And Her ears can still hear.
I always hold Her close to me,
But sometimes I do forget;
That the Goddess is in everything,
Even in a gentalman's eyeing beset.
So now the closing of my poem,
Even if the rhymes are bland.
I was reminded today that life can be sweet,
Although the bitter parts still stand.
The Goddess gave me beauty,
That is like no other.
But just as lucious as the next,
Sister or Brother.
;-)
Author's Notes: I had a fabulous day of getting complements and being flirted with, and I haven't had that happen in a long time. I haven't gotten uglier or prettier, I've just gained more confidene. And as I've heard a thousand times "Confidence is everything, baby."
