Bridghid's Flame

"Thy aeternal beauteous flame,
Aeternal Keeper of the Flame,
Unrenowned by fame,
O Prytanium!
Irredescent reed of life,
Thy infinite abundance radiates
Forever downwards to one with keys,
O Prytanium!
O Prytanium!
Beacon so brightly mystical,
GRAAL so stellar yet whimsical,
Only the Keeper of the Portal may know?
O Pretanium!
Membrances of fondest days of folk-yore,
Thy greenest hills by Britain's shore to shore,
Thy ageless pursuit of sovereignty,
O Prytanium!
Thy center sacred sanctum elusive yet open,
Annwn can clearly see when one may not.
We maintain honour to thy Majesty.
O Prytanium!
From whence all kindred's share,
To the gods of yon illuminated history,
Unto Alexander's own manifest destiny

Author's Notes: 1. Prytanium. The sacred place where many Keltic peoples kept their sacred fire--domestic or puclic.
2. Annwn. To many, the sacred fire itself.
3. Sovereignty. The right to determine for one's own self what is right for one's own self without others telling or dictating what is true, right, and correct for one's own self. "To Thyne Own Self Be True." -- Hermes Tristmagistus
4. Alexander. Alexander The Great who has been the most brilliant political leader the world has ever known. He was responsible for the construction of several of the Ancient Wonders of the World, the concept of city as exemplified in Alexandria, Egypt, etc.
5. Keeper. As in our tradition's Keeper of the Flame and Keeper of the Portal. My great-uncle Obid was the third to the last of the Keepers in our last coven. Keepers in our tradition are oftentimes homosexual males such as this author. The Keeper tradition also extends into the Keeper of the sang real documents, i.e. Grand Masters of the Priorie de Sion or even the Keepers of Monsegur or Graal Castle.
