Invocation: Sullis

by Chev. Rev. Brijdrix de Prytani - Sangraal
 Age Group: Adult

Invocation to the Goddess Sullis (A Preserver. 23rd-26th of the month) . by Rev. Brijdrix T. A. dePrytani
"Magnificent Sulla, Eye of the World. Honor to Thee as Thy sacred waters run eternally pure.
Omnipotent Sullis, Healer of bodies. To Thee gratitude for Thy endurance, strength, and power.
Sulevia, Most Wise, See us, know us, heal us. To Thee compassion for Thy unyeilding Love of the world.
Adsullata, the Preserver, See Thy children, know Thy children, heal Thy children. To Thee perpetuity forever more.
In Darkness there is Light; and in Light, likewise, there is Darkness -- so is the reminder of Sul Minerva."
Excerpted from the Outer Court Book and Tree of Mysteries and Shadows, p. 43. by J. D. Snetselaar, Brijdrix T. A. de Prytani.

Author's Notes: Nota Bene: This is just one example of some of our Invocations. We Prytani-Witta of the Blue Star Pagan Keltic path are and can be polytheistic, pantheistic, animistic, monotheistic, et cetera. Sullis is very special to us too but she is not necessarialy our primary concept of Deity.
Sulla, Sullis, Sulevia, Adsullata, and Sul Minerva are all aspects of the Goddess Sullis. Much information on these aspects can be found in reference materials such as "Celtic Myth and Magick" by Edain McCoy. Lewellyn Publications.
1. Aquae Sullis, i.e. Bath, England, United Kingdom possesses ruins from Roman times of the Baths of Sul. In Roman times the waters there at Bath were renowned for their healing powers and many spas arose then which brought people there from all over the Empire.
2. It was so very ironic, anyone can check with the National Weather Service if they don't believe me, but just after I transcribed this Invocation for Witch Vox, the skies opened up here in Springfield, Missouri, to a torrent of much needed rain. We needed the rain badly having suffered so from a long dry Spring. Goddess Bless.
