aquafina: morbid flavor splash

cool
chilled like ice
caught in a heated pool
perspirated cylinder
gurgle like a dying man
fill my mouth
close my eyes
taste with every fiber
drowning ribbon of froth
tongue suspended
in a liquid universe
swelled
roof tang-ing
intense cloying flavor
color of death
swallow
throat working
no air
warm draught
cheeks puckered
mouth open after it’s gone
Author's Notes: I purposely didn't use capitalization and punctuation. It was originally just "Aquafina: Raspberry Flavor Splash" --a sensory poem that only described how it felt to drink the water from the bottle-- but I thought it should... "mean something". So I made it about death. In a humorous way, in my opinion. I only added a few lines to change it overall; you might be able to identify which lines. I thought it made for a nice twist.
