Odd Observation of My Hands Explained

I wear five silver rings:
on my left middle and index is a dull, grass-green onyx
and two dolphins kissing, swirled around a vivid aquamarine;
on my right index, middle and ring
is a clouded amethyst in an ankh, plain pentacle, warm garnet trio.
I am often asked why so many, what they mean.
The onyx is emotional shielding;
the aquamarine is to be in touch with my element—
I am Scorpio, a water sign.
the ankh is my Egyptian religious tendencies,
protection of Isis.
The pentacle is my life, face behind the mask of my soul,
and the garnet tempers my ire.
Many times I hope I can live up to the symbols I have adopted
that grace my hands, physical reminders
of my philosophy’s vows.
They are the visible evidence of my progression
through life, collection of moments.
All are meaningful to me, never removed
from my sight, these two forelimbs never bare.
The only taper left blank is the wedding digit;
it seems lonely, in disrepair.
Author's Notes: Directly related to my rings, obviously. I don't think I diddled with its message. I was just wanting to write a poem about my rings. This draft is very raw, and won't have the opportunity to go through workshop. Fine with me. Relates to my Path, obviously. Hope you enjoy. This one was written because I wanted to, not only as an assignment.

Update says that I am now engaged. Maybe I'll write this poem a sister sometime.
