Lizard

Chilly, breath-steamed fog emits
from my pale, chapped lips as I hastily slither
from one building to the next, my armored coattail wagging
in the hoary, frosty gray air.
Author's Notes: Walking between buildings. Remembered how an ex used to say I was cold-blooded since I get cold kind of easy. He used to say I was like a snake or lizard. Hence, poem. I like to write this type of poem, the transformation type. Makes me think of my other poem, Aerial Totem.
