Calamity at the Threshold?
Did we not know?
In days of yonder. . .
We ponder. . .
The god of comings and of goings -- Janus Janicot.
Did we greet Janus? Or, did he greet us? What a funny face of two faces of comedy and drama to contemplate?
Happy New Year? To The Solar Return of Sol Invictus. Why did the rustic sabbats get stretched out by christians?
Little Janicot remembers only memories half forgotten!
The scene is set. . .
The rhythym repeats. . .
The names may change but the significance remains for Janus Janicot is the real reason for the Season indeed.
Welcome baby New Year.

1. Janus. Roman deity, male, of coming and going. He is most alive during the Winter Solstice vigil and in door-ways. Often depicted with two faces.
2. Janicot. A diminutive, Gaulish, of Janus.
3. Sol Invictis. It could have been this deity and followers who could have changed the course of western history, but christianity owes a great deal to the cult of Sol Invictus (the Sun) .
