Free Ride

Free Ride
It's really not any single persons fault,
Entering life as ejected from a catapult,
Too much to learn many crash and burn in all the numerous unknowns,
One thing everyone finally must confess,
We're all just temporary guests,
Blindly wandering through childhood, then adulthood when we're grown,
Life isn't long enough for some,
So they devised a Kingdom Come,
A mystical place for those of some beliefs systems go,
No one has advanced information of what Death truly brings,
Some folks dance through life like puppets on pious strings,
In all reality dust and bones is all that's left of us to show,
Does a Heaven or Hell really exist,
Or could they be overrated myths,
Books and philosophies on such subjects do abound,
All should make the best of everyday,
Not let even a single second slip away,
One day they'll return our wasted bodies to the ground,
No real reason for this ubiquitous fear of Death,
Fear the Hell that may come before your final breath,
Bring it on, quickly to be gone for no one wants their dying to go slow
How can you deal with life's demands,
If your so worried about the Reapers hands,
No free tickets to Heaven, but I'm told it's a free ride to the Hell below.
