Not me

Not Me
There will be people who never have to sleep in the chilly night air, know what it's like to feel economic despair, Not Me!
There will be people who never carry a body bag, know the smell of rotting flesh, or how grossly they sag, Not Me!,
People who never know domestic discourse, never are they destined for the pains of divorce or know destruction of a family, feel the loss and the cost of such tragedy, emotions pushed to the brink of their sanity, Not Me!,
There will be people who never need beg for spare change, or live in a shelter for victims who's dreams have been slain, Not Me!,
Not know what it's like to come from a broken home, feel little and sacred and forever alone, Not Me!,
Never feel a morning breeze created by burning napalm, or know what it's like to wake with it lighting your dawn, Not Me!,
Some may know what's it's like to have a broken heart, feel like their world is falling apart, but many will know what it's like to give love a fresh start, Not Me!,
Some people will know a great Peace of mind, family and friends that treat them so kind, never know the depravation of being emotionally blind, Not Me!
Some will have loving support when growing old in their years, people there to help fight the mounting unknowns in their fears, Not ME!,
Some people may think they're just as they file their life's complaints, say life is as it is when they know that it ain't, so full of contempt and never content all the while acting as if they are saints, Not Me!,
Some will never be touched by such catastrophes, spared are many from life's calamities, never show the aftermath's of same's insecurities, Not Me!,
As much of this as I've seen with these now dimming eyes, cheeks dry as bones, many tears long since dried, useless is it to put forth Faith only to be hurt and left naked to cry, This Was Me!,
People seldom listen, seldom less ever change, watch their eyes glisten, hear their laughter, deranged, perverted of mind, and who of us dare place any blame, Don't Ask Me!,
We all are born on some ordinary day without documentation that life will go our way, could it be the first thing we should hear is to be very afraid, Same As Me!,
Good people do evil things when faced with evil times to keep their head above life's torrent of crimes, are these acts of survival, or Death Warrants they've unwittingly signed, You Got Me!,
Finally, does a hypocrite require a tourniquet to help their bleeding hearts as they're throwing their fits of bigotry, lost are their morals and their dignities, so sad is this world full of hypocrisy, Enrages Me!,
I keep all of my promises both good and bad, yes, I've made some bad ones when I've gotten too mad, this is well known to my friends and comrades, don't like it, that's tough, life sucks 'cause, I'm not the one to make justifications, come to any predetermination's, present no phony personifications, not up to me to make adjudication's, know full and well this living Hell is for my occupation, Yep, This Is Me!.
