The Reason For My Rhymes

"The Reason For My Rhymes"
This was not to be a poem,
I tryed not to make it rhyme,
But all the words I've spoken,
Have been just a waste for time,
Romantic readers wanted a lover,
These are not the rhymes I write,
The subjects that I would cover,
Exceeded these readers insight,
They don't want rhymes about the wrongs,
Not about the ugly side of life,
Places the love rhymes have never gone,
Happy rhymes can't make wrongs, right,
Should I give up my rhyming,
Put paper and pen away,
Why do I continue trying,
No one hears a word I say,
Theirs a reason that I wield this pen,
Is to try an open some eyes,
Someone would listen to the message I send,
And hear the painful peoples cries.
