What is Bliss?

What is Bliss?
Some say it is blasphemous to think such a way
Some call it an absurdity that will surely damn my soul to hell
Some say my ways, my path is wrong and evil
And so it is this that I would like to say to them:
Many times have I ran wildly through the forest
Disregarding all paths that were made by man
And when I stopped to catch my breath and looked down
Before me lay the graceful prints of the deer
The blessed herd I often sing natures song to.
I feel the moon tides pulse beat within my vanes
I instinctively wake with the rising of the sun
Attuned to the cycle of Mother Earth, I am her devoted child
And as the seasons change from one color to another
My aura too, reflects different illuminations
I have bit into a strawberry and tasted summer
I have smelled autumn
I have had the purest snow soak into my skin
And I have felt myself be reborn
While witnessing the first flower of spring blossom
All of these things I have done
And all of these things seem more precious
More holy, and truer than anything I've ever known.
And if one wishes to think me dammed for it
then so shall it be,
but please by no means pity me.
For it is a damnation of incomprehensible bliss.

Author's Notes: I'm usually fairly shy about showing my work off in such a public manner, however I felt that there are probably others here who feel the same way and can relate.
Not perhaps my best academic work, but definitely a favorite of mine that I've done.
