Married LIfe

MARRIED LIFE
I met and married a wonderful man, don’t let any tell you otherwise.
I will love him until the end of time, but most days I’d like to black his eyes.
We bicker over laundry, and the dishes, and the shoes he don’t pick up.
Then he smiles at me and holds me close and refills my coffee cup.
When he is at work he works so hard, it’s inspiring at times.
On days off though, its computer land and I regularly check his vital signs.
Some days I want to kill him, and then he goes and steals my breath.
He lights my fire without even trying, I really truly love him to death.
I don’t expect a thing from him and I’m never disappointed,
He always knows just what to say when my nose gets all disjointed.
He is the shoulder that I lean on and the arms around my waist,
The heart that beats in time with mine, the passion that is not chaste.
He bundled all my cares and fears and packed them all away,
And he hasn’t told me where they are since he took my hand that day.
He tolerates my neuroses and my monthly hormone flares,
He don’t get mad, just holds me close.
“I love you Babe, and I don’t care.”
My Soul mate isn’t perfect, at best a total geek,
He is the perfect match for me, a full on Super freak.
