My Lord. . .

My lord, have I displeased you?
Am I to cold against your hide?
Am I too independent for you?
Would you rather I fall behind?
Would you rather have me timid?
Do prefer your women meek?
Does it make you feel stronger
To be accompanied by the weak?
Do you prefer an innocent mind
To those who've made mistakes?
Would you have me placate you
Just for ego sake?
Well, Your Majesty, forgive me.
For I will do nothing of the sort.
You are not my Woodland Stag
And I am not your whore.
Author's Notes: Do not change yourself for anyone, no matter how perfect they may seem, because if they were perfect for you, you wouldn't have to change in the first place. The Lord and Lady have someone special for me out there, it would be a shame and an insult to settle for less. You have to first love yourself, before you can truly love others.
