Energy I Perceive – Trump Cards Wild

I cramp, I bleed, abdomen constricts
I double, pain wracked middle
and my eyes shine, proud
of my pain, I can only stand to walk
until I can reach my bed at my little home
and sleep the day away, be that I had
that chance – to sleep the day away – deep in
amethyst dreams
and azure deeps
and crimson shades,
scarlet letters I bleed, drip
from my femininity like so many raindrops
from the sky, to which I am but a drought, and I
refuse to slake the thirst of those others
who claim to be my friends.
Yet of late I have better come to know
my Universe, my Akasha so hesitant – I am
so hesitant – to show the true colors
of my Intent – drop the ground
from beneath my stomach so it flops like a moray
back into his salt sea, beat fists on the murky
gray-blue surface of dignity
I’ve abandoned for that first pride.
Author's Notes: Kind of trying to articulate that feeling again. Strike two. But still a good poem, methinks. *shruggz*
