Silver Curtain

Black
Black to silver
I see the moon
on a silver curtain
Step
Through the silver curtain
to the Lady
She smiles
I follow
through the grass
to the hilltop
beneath the full moon
Step
onto the hilltop
A circle of stones
A pine scent
Others surround the fire
She joins Him
The Lord smiles
Step
onto the stone
the cool moss
beneath bare toes
They smile
Look
others
join our circle
Smile
energy connects us
THEY are here
THEY always were
Step
into the circle
beckoned
They speak
and we know all
forever
Back through the curtain
memories fade
All the knowing lost
but
Smile
THEY never left
still
only behind the silver curtain
Author's Notes: This is a modified version of a poem I wrote shortly after a guided meditation I read in a book entitled WICCA by Vivienne Crowley.
