The hatching of a Mystic

Spare relative embitterment, judgment
by flesh and blood; observe hypocrisy. Shun
belief, surprise to see couched in polite
words, amusing small sermon…
Base rejection rains in a letter from a best-loved
aunt who cared for my well-being were words:
“I cannot come to your wedding
due to my Christian beliefs.” Angry, cry
frustration to empty walls; tears shed
for temper, lament that new backside.
Christian – judge me? Spiritual crisis fled; next
slim thread of my spirit’s journey is found.
Author's Notes: Today I have come to Mysticism, an evolution of my Eclectic Witchcraft. This really spawned in complete after receiving my aunt's deferral to come to my wedding because I am pagan. It was the first time I received judgment of that magnitude from a family member. I was going for semi-minimalist wording.
