NIGHTMARE

The darkness creeps in around me.
The trees claw at my window.
Deep in a dream of sarrow.
I can smell the death around me.
I can hear the footsteps creep from behind me.
I can feel my panic set-in.
I run and run endlessly.
I trip over a tree root.
I fall for what seems like forever.
I wake up just beforeI hit the ground.
Always the same dream.
The fear feels so real.
Then the darkness creeps in around me once more.
