DEMONS

Age Group: Teen
The demons they come when I am alone.
They can make me see things that are unture,
green my hair and pierced my body.
Are they cutters?
Do they bleed?
Are they part human in this scary dream?
Can I defeat them?
For in this land they are the rulers and I am the peasent.
In this world it is dark and gray.
For that is when the demons come out to play.
In our world when it is bright and sunny they do one of two things:
They hide in shadows
Or they take guise.
They hunt me and stalk me until I give in.
Can they hear my breath quicken or hear my heart thud?
Do they know they are my worst fear,
That they make me sweat and dread my nightmares?
But do they know that I know their fear too.
That the metal I wear scares them too.
Do they know that I am conquering my fears?
That they cant scare me when my metal chain is near.
Did they think i didnt notice that they shiver in sight of it?
Or that when I drip with metal they stay away.
The more metal I wear the more the demons fade away.
At first I thought this unture that demons could fear like me and like you.
But when I wear metal they shiver and cower.
When I wear it I feel as if I am the one in power!
