Self Salvation

Show me to love and care
and I will do my best to be there
always there for you
Use me as I have been used
and my world will go cold and blue
Nothing more to do with you
Left to find myself again
Divorced, bittersweet and rueing
the day I found out about you
Living, resurge of personality
I am happy with my decisions
Though I stand alone in my popularity
I don't mind that I am to blame, or so I know
it's been said and seems to fall out that way
but I am me, a gift re-found
And so I reinvent
what used to be me
what you thought you knew so well
turned to ashes--your dust-filled mouth
I rise from my place in life
and you are left far, far behind... past-life
Author's Notes: A little more constructive than some poetry of late, though it isn't too poetic.
