Nightmares

My conscience is screaming for me to stop.
As the blood slowly begins to drop.
As my tears begin to fall upon the cold ground.
My sobbing the only recognizable sound.
My spirit's dying and my soul is dead.
My heart feels as though it's made of lead.
You come up to me and laugh in my face.
Saying that no one could ever take your place.
I see you in my nightmares.
When you say that no one cares,
I should have known you were nothing as you seem.
I wish this had all just been a dream.
Author's Notes: I wrote this after a really bad break up, where the guy harrassed me...
