Mommy What Is Love?

My daughter asked me, "Mommy what is love?"
I answered with honesty, "It's a gift from above."
"It's careing & shareing, it's just being there,
And being upset, but still being fair."
"But Mommy, " she said, "I just don't understand,
Is it something you find, or is it planned?"
I looked at my daughter, with somewhat of a start,
And said, "Well, you find it, it's deep in your heart."
Then it rushed through my head, fast as a train,
When I realized, love, you cannot explain.
