Sympathy

Age Group: Adult
Raised all his life, for only one reason,
Eaten by man-kind from season to season.
He was shoved into a truck, he didn't know why,
Little did he know, he was soon to die.
All of a sudden the truck came to a stop,
A big heavy man lifted the top.
He yanked the cow out, a grim look on his face,
As for sympathy there was no trace.
Once inside the building all bloody & cold,
The big heavy man let go of his hold.
He grabbed for his hammer, dirty & dull,
And then smashed the innocent cow right in the skull.
The poor cow was baffled, he did not understand,
The poor cow was killed, from the blow of one hand.
He buckled to his knees, one more down,
He could not see any longer, & there was no sound.
You think this is sick, you think I am crude,
Look at yourselves, you eat this food.

Author's Notes: I have nothing aganist others who eat meat, as a Vegan I wrote this after having many heated arguments w/ family members over why I do or don't eat meat.
