Hate Me

Before the day Christopher Columbus set sail,
It was upon my back you did wail...Hate Me, I Am Poor.
When after he opened that western door,
It was upon my back your hate bore...Hate Me, I Am Black.
When your lust & greed for land did rise,
The tears were there in my eyes...Hate Me, I Am Indian.
When you called for all to come,
It was me you placed with-in your slum...Hate Me, I Am Italian.
When the black man was set free,
It was me you forced to my knee...Hate Me, I Am Woman.
When you could no more money make,
It was my poor body you did forsake...Hate Me, I Am A Child.
Now it is not whether or not I choose,
You just need anothers back to bruise...Hate Me, I Am Homosexual.
I am the lost soul of Freedom & Human Liberty,
From generation to generation you pass this legacy,
Of crying freedom while living hypocrisy!
And when at last we shall meet, at the Great Pearly Gate,
Let it be Him who decides whom to isolate!
