Enlighted Darkness

I came across a man today, he turned to me to say,
"The sun it shines so bright right now, & lovely is this day."
"The sounds of waves upon the shore, & birds that chirp & sing, "
"When I am down & feeling blue, it's happiness they bring."
"I only wish I had my sight, to see whats all around."
For he I met this fine spring day, w/ joy throughout his heart,
Had never seen the Goddess's miracles, he'd been blind from the start.
I really hope this makes you think, if only for awhile,
That there are those less fortunate, who still manage to smile!
