When I Follow Mama Home

Age Group: Adult
Mother's Day won't be the same, since dear ole' mom has gone.
But I know someday I'll see her, when I follow mama home.
Like many times when I was young, at mamas heels I'd run,
I'd follow her each step she took, from dawn to set of sun.
And when at night when I lay down, our mom would tuck me in,
She'd listen when I said my prayers, & when I said amen.
Our mom would pray & thank the Goddess, for keeping us safe that day,
And it sure did bless my heart to hear my mother pray.
Mama taught us right from wrong, & showed us how to live,
She brought us joy & happiness, w/ all the love she'd give.
Then Goddess soon called her home, her Spirit was set free.
And I know someday we'll meet again, when I follow mama home.
