Painful Love

I make him hurt every-day, this beautiful man of mine,
There is no other like him, he makes everything seem fine.
I wish that I could accept his love, as once before I could,
But now that I am very sick, I don't know if I should.
He tries to take away my pain, but yet he can't succeed,
He loves me very deep inside, he meets my every need.
Please Goddess help us both, & take away this curse,
To love him is to hurt him, to stop, is even worse.

Author's Notes: written for my ex-husband, thank you for standing by my side & being my strength when I could not. Thru all the cancer treatments, Dr.'s, meds & holding my hair out of my own vomit, you were my light when I saw only darkness, & my rock when I began to sink. Thank you & Goddess Bless
