Goddess Light

In the shadows of darkness, I saw the hate.
In the moonlights shadow, I saw my fate.
I hide in the shadows, afraid to come out.
Hate was around me, there was no doubt.
Was it evil of many, or evil of few?
I had no answer, nobody knew.
I moved some slightly into the light,
Not knowing if it was really alright.
From behind me a shadow cast,
Panic hit & then at last.
I turned around & there was light,
Warmer then sun, & very bright.
A stranger emerged & held out her hand,
From the look on her face it was a demand.
Into the light we traveled together as one,
Not saying a word, her deed was done.
She stopped at last & turned around,
What was she looking for, or what had she found?
She placed her hands upon my face,
To welcome me here to this beautiful place.
A bright light came as I shut my eyes,
I was all alone, who would hear my cries?
Beside me there was a presence felt,
In a quite whisper she said, "This pain to you I've dealt."
"For many reasons you may not understand,
But I've always been w/ you, & held your hand."
"I left you so very long ago, but in your heart I stayed."
"And when you couldn't go on, it was then for you I prayed."
"My child I will never truely leave you, & this you must know,
Just follow in my footsteps, & you'll know which path to go."
"So when you feel alone, & your heart has great despair,
Look inside yourself my child, because I'm always there."
