Alone With One Wish

by MysticIvy
 Age Group: Adult

As I sit here alone, tired & weak,
A sigle tear slides down my cheek.
What caused the pain, what was the cost?
No where to turn, I seem to be lost.
Just a empty shell is all that you see,
There's nothing left, I was set free.
As I sit here alone, you walked thru the door,
No clue what would happen, or what was in store.
In your eyes I see a familiar sight,
Do I dare move forward into the light?
I take a step closer, I'm nearer now,
Not sure where were going, or even how?
As I sit here alone, I see the emotion on your face,
I wonder who has hurt you & set them in place?
A wall erected to protect your heart,
I wonder can I tear it apart?
Will you let me in to share your life?
Or are you to raw w/ anger & strife?
As I sit here alone, I can see your fear,
You grow uneasy as I come near.
I won't hurt you Jason, this I swear,
I only want to love you & show you I care.
You are not the monster that others see,
Just take my hand & trust in me.
As I sit here alone, I recall what others said,
How you were evil, couldn't be trusted & often mislead.
All these things I don't see in you,
They don't know you the way that I do.
How can a monster love so much?
Or have such a gentle passionate touch.
As I sit here confused & still alone,
I ponder how the feelings for you have grown.
They say it's crazy to feel this way,
It will never last, he'll soon stray.
He'll break your heart, then where will you be?
They say just wait, you will see.
As I sit here alone, my heart begins to ache,
The emotions you show me, are they real or fake?
You say you love me, & I believe you do,
When I look in your eyes, I can see it's true.
The rage & anger that lives deep inside your heart,
That my love is what will tear us apart.
As I sit here alone, I can picture your face,
The angles & features my fingertips can retrace.
The feel of your touch that warms my skin,
The lean muscles in your back, where they end & begin.
How we often finish what the other is about to say,
How your laughter can brighten my whole day.
If I could have one wish, do you know what it would be?
For us to be together for all eternity.
