If You're A Clown

If you're a clown, you have no heart,
For long ago, you chose a part.
Too keep your tears from showing through,
Make people laugh, thats the thing to do.
No one must know, you suffer so,
Fix on your face, that smiling glow.
And if in your eyes, tears glisten there,
It's the foolish happiness a clown must wear.
If friends are blue, they'll look for you,
You'll make them laugh their troubles through.
They love you when you're bright & gay,
So make them laugh, thats a part you play.
And when your pain is too hard to bare,
You look for help, theres no-one there.
So play your part, don't let them down,
It's the price you pay... if your a clown.
