No Longer There

I sit here now, thoughts run through my head,
Did I do something wrong, was it something I said?
I held your love once in the depths of my soul...I know,
What happened to us, where did the love now go?
A smile once layed across my face,
Now it is sadness that has taken its place.
With a firmness you once held my hand,
Beside me no more, it's alone I stand.
The promise of tomarrow is no longer there,
You've taught me to say I just don't care.
My heart, my soul, no one else knows,
It's broken, its gone, its now just closed.
Did the vows we spoke mean nothing at all?
You promised me once to never let me fall.
It's too late now, I'm just a empty shell,
Alone in this life, I'm miserable as hell.
Just when I think that I can go on,
Memories hit me of what is now gone.
From my finger I removed your ring,
It once held meaning, it was a beautiful thing.
A tear drops falls down my cheek,
I fall to my knees, I'm lost & weak.
Look at me now, I was once strong,
My world is shattered, now everythings wrong.
My every thought is still of you,
Even now when we are through.
I can still feel your touch,
Your kisses that once meant so much.
How can I stop all this I feel?
It's over now, thats whats real.
In the pit of my stomach a fire burns,
Still for you my heart yearns.
I thought I could live without you by my side,
I was so wrong, baby I lied.
I still love you & need you in my life,
You needed me once......I was your wife.
