Creatures of the Night

Age Group: Adult
Creeping into steal my soul
The shadows of the night wait at my bed side
Prowling the eves below our house
Scratching and clawing at the windows
The swift wind from their tails beat against the walls, breaking the silence of sleep
Hearings their scales brush beneath the floor
Following my every footstep
The roof top shakes from their paws as they fly in to haunt my slumber
