Each morning as I open my eyes-
I’m grateful to see a new sunrise.
I’m grateful to look into the mirror and know-
That familiar face, that familiar soul!
It’s important to know who’s looking back-
And to know where I’m at.
Knowing I can trust the person I see-
Knowing that that person is me!
Shedding skins to release the person within-
Each facet we lose, we allow another to begin.
Freer and freer, we become-
Peaceful, Blissful, days of song.
Aspirations lying around like an old friend-
Offers to lend us an ear or hand.
Take the steps one at a time-
You’ll find freedom of a different kind.
Yet again tomorrow comes-
And hopefully I’ll see a reflection I’ve known.
Look deep inside the reflection you see-
Find the Someone you’re meant to be!
