* In memory of my beloved mother, Margaret Pigott
Behold, it's thy inner self that's treasure-
Wisdom and lessons we've learned without measure.
It's this treasure we take with us-
This prize that can't spoil or rust.
Recycled again and again-
Shared with others, becoming a legend.
More precious than any silver or gold-
Stored forever deep within our souls.
To not share would be a waste-
Mortal life passes with such haste!
Our lessons can't be bargained like goods-
Time well spent, that's understood.
It's the knowledge we pass along-
Which survives, way past when we've gone.
Where darkness lives, we've shed light-
Helping another in their journey or plight.
Our Inner Being only grows-
Never ceasing to be, never growing old.
By sharing, our mortal lives move on-
In passing, our legacy stays forever young!
