Celebrate Cinco de Mayo

Smell the muskets that's been loaded-
Watch the fireworks which keeps exploding!
Taste the Freedom in the wind-
Our soldiers fight dearly, a bloody win.
Victory, unto death they cry-
While the French move in under darkened skies.
Swiftly 6000 troops marched, forging ahead-
Defeated, 500 Frenchmen lay dead!
Courageous & Brave, we stood our ground-
100 Juarez' Forces fell all around!
Fierce & determined we raged to defeat-
The French Army & their naval fleets.
Storming through, began the Battle of Pueba-
Lead by our fierce leader, General Zaragoza.
Steady & sure, we might have been-
Following our desire & dream, tasting the win!
Archduke Maximilian was captured & slain-
No longer would this dictator's rule remain!
Honoring our lost & General Zaragaza's victory-
We celebrate Cinco de Mayo most joyously!
