Ahh, to hear the trees sway-
Deciphering, what they say.
Watching them sway to & fro-
Listening to the wisdom they know.
Leaves shaking in such excitement-
Understanding the messages that are sent.
Wiser, beyond my years-
Their songs are so clear!
Soaking in every ounce, I can-
There's just too much to understand.
If only, I were but a tree-
What wisdom would I see?
Could I express thy messages given-
As clearly as others, without misgivings?
Could I dance the wind of song-
Giving praises all night & day long?
Listen to the Winds of Ages sing-
What beautiful, gracious, blessings they bring.
Each season means more, as I'm older-
I learn to listen a little closer!
