In 1866, decorated graves began from generosity-
By "Women's Memorial Association, " in Columbus, Mississippi.
Honorably, for the Blue & the Grey-
Contributing the birth, decoration of the graves.
The very first official Memorial Day-
Was acclimated on May 30, 1868.
Declared by Chief John A. Logan, respectfully-
Which was called, "Decoration Day, " originally.
Arlington National Cemetery held this celebration-
For our Armed Forces, in decoration.
All American Wars are honored since 1971-
But from the Civil War, this begun.
And so..we salute you, Army & Marines-
We salute the best you've ever seen!
We salute the Navy & Air Force-
Protecting country, freedom & liberty for us!
Thank you, our Special Forces who guard-
God Bless our Nation's Armory Guards!
Everyone who fought fearless & served each day-
Marks celebration for an Honorable, Memorial Day!
