Take A Look At History

Oh, what a sight to see-
When we take a look at History.
Past lives and experiences unfold-
As we hear about the old stories that are told.
People, places, times, and things come alive-
Within the realm where History is revived.
Places where our Grandparents ran wild and free-
When times were easier for people to simply be.
Battles that were fought to lose or win-
Became a chance for the future to begin.
A future that could never be the same-
As those who fought in such a strenuous game.
Mistakes that have passed onto many a generation-
Changing the hands of time and leaving much deliberation.
Throughout time, we've repeated the same cycles-
Only to be left stunned, amazed, or sometimes, left in denial.
When we take a look at History, we often find-
Things that have been overlooked but have always been around.
With History we learn that we can always hold-
A part of ourselves for someone else to uncover and scold.
