Once I Could Dance

Once I Could Dance!

Once, I could dance the night away-
Listening to the music as I swayed.
I lived to dance the romantic tunes-
Or dance to the fast ones, too!
Music and Dance was my life-
The wonderful souls, I'd meet each night.
We'd hang out together, until they closed-
I'd always hang with those I'd know.
We were the regulars, hanging out-
Supplying business to bars, no doubt!
For me...it was like high school dances-
Always fulfilling so many fantasies.
The men dressed in suits and ties-
Could always catch my roaming eyes.
And my, how they smelled so good-
That attracted me more than they understood!
If they didn't show me respect-
I'd flick them off, without any regrets!
I was raised to have fun with class-
And dare anyone to do anything crass!
