Once I thought the world of you-
There was nothing we couldn't do!
Even though we were apart-
You always carried my soul & heart!
I let you trample over my emotions-
But that was okay, because we're human.
I let you push me aside-
But...I never showed you when I cried!
Each time I was cast aside-
I'd create a reason, as to why.
The truth that kept slapping my face-
The truth that make me ache!
How could someone who I deemed special-
Make me feel like a devil?
Why did I ever give you power-
To torment me, hour upon hour!
Even though you're bitter with hate-
Allows no reason to show such disgrace!
Regaining all I've been and will be-
Bowing my head, honorably, peacefully, I leave!
