Stop that Dancing

Listening to music on a transistor radio-
Tormenting Grandma, don't ya know!
Blaring the "Jackson Five-"
Inside we came alive!
It was to Michael Jackson we jammed-
Learning to dance while Grandma wasn't around.
When she'd catch us, she'd say:
"You know they have to dance that way.
Over coals they have to run-
And you can bet, they're not having fun!
You all know better than to dance-
You'll wind up in trouble, first chance.
Dancing is only a sin-
It'll bring you troubles you've never seen-
I've followed the Bible all my life-
To start dancing now, wouldn't be right!
You're body shaking and moving like that-
Will surely wind up hurting your back.
Stop that dancing, right now, you hear?
I'm getting a switch to spank your rear!"
