Hurt..., My Heart shouted out loud-
I'm hurt, but I'm still proud.
I love people regardless of their station-
And even more so, during their depredation!
With me, you'll always know-
Just where you stand & how I feel!
I don't hide or put on a show-
What I feel, you'll know it's Real!
I only know how to give-
And giving to me, means to live.
How much purer one is by heart-
When they give, knowing it's a start.
Erase the pain my eyes have seen-
Bring me knowledge to understand why!
Help me to gather all I've been-
Erase the tears that I've cried!
Hurt..., my heart has shouted out loud-
I've been hurt, but I'm still standing proud!
Pain brings me appreciation, guiding me along-
Seeing things clearly, knowing, I'm not alone!
