Halloween Night

Children screaming in the night-
From noises that give them a fright.
Others, chanting, "Trick-or-Treat-"
While walking up and down the streets.
Costumes of every kind-
Up and down the streets in lines.
Going from door to door-
In hopes of candy galore.
They've come visiting for chocolates and sweets-
Begging for something good to eat.
Expecting a frightful surprise-
Which lights up in their eyes.
Some are carrying bags they've made-
Others, grocery sacks they've saved.
With electrical excitement in the air-
Nothing else can compare.
It's Halloween tonight-
See all the pumpkins shining bright!
Grab bowls of candy, here we come-
We're singing, "Trick-or-Treat, " having some fun!
